School Overview

The way Jesus chose to disciple was through living life with 12 individuals. That is the way He has told Perea School of Ministry to disciple. We live life together. The house facilitators live out their marriage, students live out their jobs, their friendships, their hard times. Together we grow in the Lord with guidance and direction from Godly leaders. Get personally invested in, learn the Bible, become equipped for God’s calling on your life, live in godly community, and finish your time at Perea School of Ministry without any debt. That is what the school is all about.

Equipping:

What is God’s calling on your life? That is what Perea School of Ministry is about, even if you don’t know what that calling is. Personalized ministry training is one aspect of the school that is so unique, you get equipped for whatever it is God is asking you to do. We also spend time helping you find out want God wants from you if you don’t already know. Perea allows personalized coursework, personalized mentorship, and personalized training. Don’t get lost in a huge school.

One on One Mentorship:

Each week students meet one on one with their house facilitator. That house facilitator challenges, encourages, personalizes, and equips the student. These mentoring times become times of great reflection and growth. Students look at how their family life affects their relationships with others and with Jesus; they work through how to personally know God’s voice; how to pray effectively; how to grow through issues with other students; and how to read the Bible as God intends. Of course these are just examples of the Christian training areas that come up, but we want to emphasize that these times are all about helping that individual students, where ever they may be in life, grow in their relationship with Jesus and with others, and become equipped to live out God’s calling on their life.

Biblical Schooling:

Perea uses Berean School of the Bible as the core of our curriculum. This allows students to gain their certification or license through Assembly of God. In addition to Berean, Perea uses supplicational material not covered by Berean such as: Take up your cross; Stewardship; Disciple Making; and many more. Through the study at Perea School of Ministry, students will gain a biblical foundation, Christ centered worldview, and will understand and live the truth.

Living in Community:

Christians were never intended to live out their life alone. Living in community helps sharpen on another. It helps students learn how to encourage one another as well as how to deal with conflict in a godly way. There is no time to take a break from being a Christian when you live in community. Even at home, there are brothers and sisters there to pray with and to hold you accountable. You will be getting Christian discipleship 24/7.  We cannot love God and love others if we are not around others.
