President's Message

Greetings from Western Montana,

Jesus has been doing so much through Perea Ministries and the people involved. Through Camp Perea and Perea School of Ministry we are truly making disciples who make disciples. We have seen teenagers fall in love with Jesus through Camp and and young adults are being trained for God’s calling on their life. Jesus invested in 12 disciples while never neglecting the masses. As I think back on my life, I get sad that I cannot say that I have truly had a mentor who consistently invested in my relationship with Jesus. Sure I have had the once a week coffee meetings that so many Christians call "discipleship.” I have been to Christian training programs…but nobody ever invested in me like Jesus invested in His disciples. The heartbeat of the school of ministry is just that: to practice the discipleship Jesus modeled. If you desire to be challenged and mentored, this is the place for you.

I also think back to all my camping experiences. Why do “camp high’s” exist? You know the ones where youth go to camp, get all excited for Jesus, and then 2 weeks later act like camp never happened. It's because that time at camp was based on things at camp, rather than on things that will be there when they get home. Camp Perea focuses on outreach through building relationships between youth, leaders, and Jesus. All three of those things will be there when youth return home. Our heart is that leaders will use Camp Perea as a starting point for a future of discipleship. When teenagers fall in love with Jesus at camp, their leaders are there to help them walk it out when they get home. Again, making disciples who make disciples. I encourage you to browse around our site and see what God is up to. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. I pray that we all follow the leadings of our Lord Jesus Christ with love and obedience.

In His Grip,

Jens Sundem
