The most important thing you should know about me is that I love Jesus. I married my love, Monika, in 2002 and have 3 kids, Shaela, Lincoln, and Josiah. My passion is discipleship and equipping others to disciple. For 7 years I led Young Life in Western Washington, for 2 more I was a youth pastor, and in 2005 my wife and I founded Perea Ministries. I was born in Seattle and raised on Bainbridge Island in in the Puget Sound. I received my BA in communication from Western Washington University in 2002 and my Masters of Theology from Liberty Seminary in 2006. I have a passion to mentor and equip people for God’s call on their life and to succeed where they currently are. It amazes me the difference one person can make in another. No one is perfect, yet we have the obligation to pass on our strengths to the next generation. Please join me in investing your life in those around you.
I also love the outdoors, backpacking, fly fishing, biking, white water kayaking, rock climbing…I am a white water raft guide instructor and head coach for the Lady Broncs high school soccer team. Recently, I have added triathlete onto my list of favorite activities. As you can read I keep busy with Jesus, family, and the outdoors.
I fell in love with Jesus when I was 14 years old. I had grown up going to church but it wasn't until then that i realized that the Creator of the Universe wanted a relationship with me, not just for me to go to church and youth group but to walk with Him and get to know Him. From early on, I was involved in youth ministry, for 5 years I volunteered with Young Life and for 3 more years I was the Youth Coordinator at my church in Marysville. I have recently moved to Missoula, where I am excited to see how God uses me and changes me. I love watching teens "get it" and realize that Jesus is awesome. God has really created me with a love to serve others, there is no task too big or small that I won't enjoy doing. I also love being able to pour into young women's life and walk through good times and hard time with them. I am grateful that each day I can wake up and praise the Lord for all that he has and is doing.
